This page explains how to request deletion of your BookArc account and reading data. BookArc is the reading app operated by Orpheus Technology Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

Option A - in the app (fastest)

1. Open the BookArc app.
2. Go to your Account - tap your profile, or open Settings then Account.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm. Your account is closed and deletion begins right away.

Option B - by email

Email hello@bookarc.app from the email address on your BookArc account, with the subject Delete my account. We verify that the request is yours and then delete your account.

• Your account identity - email address and display name.
• Reading data synced to BookArc - your library and book metadata, reading progress and locations, bookmarks, and your highlights, notes, and annotations.
• Files you uploaded to BookArc for cross-device sync.
• Sign-in and device data - authentication tokens and session records.
• Your in-app preferences and settings.

If you signed in with Google or Apple, deleting your BookArc account removes your BookArc data but does not affect your Google or Apple account.

• Backups - residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 60 days of your request.
• Legally required records - where applicable, transaction, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention records are retained only for the period the law requires, then deleted.
• Anonymized data - information that no longer identifies you, such as aggregate usage statistics, may be retained.

Your account and its associated reader data are deleted within 60 days of your request, and residual backup copies are purged within the same window.
